#Financial Literacy + Positive Behaviour - ClassEquity.com
I am a Classcraft Certified Educator and used it in the classroom with students for years. It’s a great classroom Management Platform. This year I am going to try something new. ClassEquity is a Classroom Management & Financial Literacy platform.
ClassEquity is an online platform helping students grades K-12 build financial literacy and positive social behaviors. The web app enables students to open their own "bank account," through which they practice earning classroom dollars, saving, and spending in a safe environment.
It will take some preparation for sure. I also have to teach students how to use it. Students will pay bills every week for renting a desk, electricity, ACs and etc. I can also assign bonuses and fines. Students will receive a weekly salary just for being a student and for jobs in the classroom. The fun part is the way how students will spend their virtual dollars - they can buy an actual item from the classroom store, buy a teacher’s (my) desk, a positive parent call and etc.
My students are super excited. I am excited too. The valuable part is that together we will learn about financial literacy and skills that will help my students succeed in life. This is a real-world education.
