Beekeepers at School

At our school, we are proud to have beehives and beekeepers on campus. As a former beekeeper with experience in bee farming, this project holds a special place in my heart. Students actively participate in caring for the bees under the guidance of specialists.

Exciting news is on the horizon as the school plans to launch a beekeeping club for students. I am a firm believer in the educational value of studying honey bees and pollinators, emphasizing the importance of understanding a healthy food supply. Through this initiative, students not only gain knowledge but also cultivate the skills needed to protect and preserve our environment, particularly the struggling honey bee population.

In addition to their hands-on involvement with the bees, students also sell the honey produced in school exhibitions. The proceeds from these sales are then donated to support local conservation efforts. This initiative not only educates students about beekeeping but also instills a sense of social responsibility and community engagement.

The plight of honey bees and pollinators is a reality we cannot ignore. Through projects like this, we aim to instill a sense of environmental stewardship in our students and inspire them to make a difference.
