UFLI Foundations Training

I recently completed the UFLi training at our school, and I must say, it's a game-changer! Our decision to move in this direction towards UFLi has been met with great enthusiasm. The system is incredibly comprehensive and efficient, making it a valuable asset in our educational toolbox.

One of the best things about UFLi is that all the resources are readily available on their website for free. The only requirements are to undergo the training and purchase the manual. From flashcards to Google slides presentations and specific applications, everything you need is in the UFLi toolbox.

UFLi Foundations, in particular, caught my attention. It is an explicit and systematic phonics program that introduces students to the foundational reading skills essential for proficient reading. The program follows a meticulously crafted scope and sequence to ensure that students progressively acquire each necessary skill. This approach helps them learn to apply these skills with automaticity and confidence.

Foundations is versatile and can be used for core instruction in primary grades or as an intervention for struggling students in any grade. Its structured approach makes it a valuable resource in supporting students at various reading levels.

I'm excited to implement what I've learned from the UFLi training and see the positive impact it will have on our students' reading abilities.
